Austin J. Montevecchio is a Financial Analyst Intern at Tecum Capital, which oversees over $450 million in assets dedicated to mezzanine debt and private equity. Austin is responsible for assisting senior professionals with the development and coordination of company policies and procedures, analysis and analytics of target company transactions and related industry analysis and processing of deal flow. More specifically, he provides in-depth research and analysis of private equity and mezzanine investment opportunities, due diligence support and assistance with the development of market and equity research for a target company’s competitive positioning and future prospects.
Austin is a recent graduate of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College with a B.S. in Finance as well as Interdisciplinary Business with Engineering Studies. Through his education, Austin has conducted industry, market, and economic analysis for a wide range of projects including several product design and marketing projects. Austin’s role as a Lead Analyst for the Energy Sector of the Intrieri Family Student Managed Fund, a real portfolio consisting of approximately 50 securities with a value of over $300,000, has provided him with a solidified knowledge of equity research and analysis.
Through Austin’s significant academic performance, he was awarded membership into the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma as well as the Financial Management Association National Honors Society. Austin was also awarded the Lawrence and Elizabeth Held Academic Scholarship and the CFA University Recognized Program Scholarship. Austin is currently a candidate for the CFA designation. Native to Pennsylvania, he currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA.
